Mike Hudkins
My first musical concert was a live performance by the Beatles, which like many others, changed my life. Christmas that year brought me my first electric guitar. I was joined by a few neighbors and we formed the garage band, the "Condors". I started musically in folk rock, light rock, then to country, then fingerstyle (generally picking on the Beatles), and now returning to folk rock.
In addition to playing guitar and bass, I build custom, hand-crafted acoustic guitars and basses, and I live in a music centric community called Latitude Margaritaville. Ain't life just grand?
Jim Graeff
Growing up in a large family there was always music in the air. Jim's mother was in a Sweet Adelines group with her sisters and he recalls hearing them practice and perform. The harmonies always intrigued him. His older siblings were into all all the various bands from Motown to the Beatles to Southern Rock. Jim started playing guitar after high school and recalls gathering on the front porch and trying to learn new songs with friends. Now that he has retired he has time to really lean into making music and having fun. Jim is a guitarist and also adds the harmonica in concert with our genre's music.
Dr. G. Norman West
Doctornorm began teaching himself guitar at the age of 13. He learned fingerstyle guitar and five string banjo . His high school/college band, The Innside Five played all over the Southeast United States for a number of years. They played with the Rooftop Singers and bluegrass masters, Flat and Scruggs. They had one record released by Dot Records of LA. He has written several original songs which were on his private label release on his CD "The Message is the Music". He has been playing in bands of various genres all of his adult life.
